Are you a good candidate for IVF?

When you entrust the expansion and future of your family to New Life, our fertility experts will guide you towards the realization of your wishes and dreams.

Since the introduction of in vitro fertilization, or IVF, into mainstream medicine and widespread use, approximately five million babies have been born using this remarkable medical procedure. When you entrust the expansion and future of your family to New Life, our fertility experts will guide you towards the realization of your wishes and goals, with the application of modern innovative procedures that they apply in their long-term practice with high rates of successfully realized pregnancies and born babies.

As proven experts in the field of infertility treatment, our infertility doctors carefully evaluate candidates for in vitro fertilization in our office in Sarajevo, to make sure that you will have a chance and benefit from IVF. Unfortunately, not all patients are good candidates for IVF treatment. If our doctors believe that a particular patient will not benefit from in vitro fertilization, they will honestly and openly advise and argue such facts and recommend other treatment methods.

Are you a good candidate for IVF?

Although the following text will give you a rough idea of the qualifications a suitable candidate should possess, the only way to know for sure if IVF is the right option for you is to meet with one of our fertility specialists for a confidential consultation. We invite you to schedule your appointment today.

Suitable candidates for IVF

You are potentially a good candidate for IVF if:

- You failed to achieve pregnancy with unprotected sex, especially in combination with fertility drugs;
- You have endometriosis;
- You have blocked or removed fallopian tubes or other problems with the fallopian tubes;
- You have polycystic ovary syndrome;
- The male partner is diagnosed with an infertility factor;
- You have pelvic inflammatory disease;
- You have abnormal ovulation cycles;
- You are unable to produce healthy eggs.

Before embarking on the process of IVF, it is important to remember that sometimes a successful pregnancy is not certain even among the most qualified candidates. Some patients need several IVF cycles to successfully achieve pregnancy, while others never do. However, many others have success on the first try - there are no guarantees or definitive confirmations of success.

While we encourage patients to believe and not lose hope, we also want them to be mentally and emotionally prepared for the possibility that IVF treatment will not be successful.

Women with fibroid tumors, hormone problems and uterine dysfunction are evaluated for IVF candidacy on a case-by-case basis.
